Kayaking

At kayaiking I had the best experience of my life. But it wasn't fun at the start because we had to walk for like an hour. But then the fun began. I went into the water thinking I was going to fall in the water straight away but it was all good. I paddled slowly just to get an idea.

Then I had enough confidence to go faster. I fell off the boat close to the end and I scraped my knee on a rock. It didn't hurt but there was a lot of blood. Anyway I had a lot of fun.

Communion of Saints

Testing week

I had my reading test first this week and it was so nerve racking. But we got the maths test the next day, but turns out that it was the wrong test. I got the right test yesterday and this test was way harder then the first one. I have just finished our spelling test and about 2 hours ago I had my writing test and the topic was called The Bush. In my spelling test I got 79.

I feel really good on how I did on my tests. I am sure that I past my tests.

My groups Song

Group Name- Faith N Harmony

Song Name-Friends Forever Together

Chorus: Friends are those we can believe in.
No one can ever replace, replace, replace.
Always there when we need them.
They put a smile on my face, my face, my face.

1st Verse: Friends, are the ones who you can turn to.
Friends, are the ones who always care.
Friends, are the ones who you can trust.
Friends, are the ones who always share.

1st rap:We kick it everyday, bada ba bada.
We hang out in the cool breeze, bada ba bada.
We go to the bay, bada ba bada.
We always take it easy, bada ba bada.
We lie under the sunset, bada ba bada.
It's like there no tomorrow, bada ba bada.
Can you believe that, bada ba bada.
It's time for us to go, bada ba bada.

Chorus:Friends are those we can believe in.
No one can ever replace, replace, replace.
Always there when we need them.
They put a smile on my face, my face, my face.

Cross Country Report

Cross Country is a tiring long distance running sport event. Saint Pius X had their Cross Country. When we started we all went to the courts and sat behind our age group. We started from 12-13 yr old then went down our age group.

Sometimes a Cross Country can go for 2.5 km and more. But we Saint Pius run for two laps. It takes a lot of stamina to keep up. When we run it is good to take a bottle full of water.

There is a starter that says, on your marks, get set, GO!!! Some people run straight away, but some people pace themselves. The points were counted by 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. But the people who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be going to the cluster.

The Junior Syndicate have a different course as they only run one lap around the field. It is still tiring because our field is a very big field. They do the same scoring but they are not allowed to be in the cluster.

Level 4 close activity

I am learning to put in the correct words for level 4

The largest of all flying creatures is the albatross, which can have a wing span of 3.5 metres.
The bill of this huge seagull is long and powerful.
The albatross's territory (1) is the southern oceans of the place (2) where it
may sometimes travel great distance(3). One albatross, found near the Chilean
oceans (4), had a special identification tag fastened on(5) its neck which
had been put up(6) in New Zealand only 12 days earlier. For (7) that
brief time the bird had flown  (8) 4800 kilometres, an average of 400 meters (9)
daily – an amazing feat of endurance.
They(10) are capable of flying at speeds more(11) than 90 km/h. Their
outstanding ability to fly(12) and glide far better than any
other(13) bird has led to them being said (14)
'the prince of soaring birds'.
They eat(15) mainly on squid, fish, shrimp, and
other (16) creatures that are found near the top (17)
of the sea. They also swoop down (18) on scraps thrown overboard from ships.
Sometimes(19) they will follow a ship for continuous (20) days.
Albatrosses will alight on the ground (21) surface, but only when it is dry (22).
They visit land in the breeding sometimes(23) for a brief time. Adult birds live(24)
out at sea for two or even (25) three years.
